Disability Confident Employer
As a disability confident employer, we will guarantee a job interview to any applicant who declares they have a disability, as long as they meet the minimum requirements for the role. As a business we are committed to:
- ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible
- communicating and promoting vacancies in an accessible way
- anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments
- supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long-term health condition enabling them to stay at work
- ensuring our managers are expertly trained to understand disability requirements and how to support with adjustments
Armed Forces Covenant
The covenant focuses on helping members of the armed forces have the same access to opportunities as any other member of the community starting a new career. Applicants who have previously served with the armed forces, and meet the minimum requirements for the job, will automatically be invited for an interview.
National Autistic Society
We have partnered with the National Autistic Society to help us understand, embrace and increase neurodiversity through their Autism at Work programme. The programme allows us to advertise roles on the society’s network and provides tailored support for candidates with autism, from interview stage right through to their first six months of employment with a specialist job coach. Managers and direct team members of successful candidates will also receive training before their employment starts.
Bristol Women in Business Charter
As a founding member of Bristol’s Women in Business Charter, we are committed to ensuring that gender equality is an ongoing focus across everything we do. Analysing our approach to gender equality has equipped us to make better decisions in the way we recruit, retain and engage with our team members, giving us a skilled and knowledgeable workforce to support our customers and be flexible to their needs. With the support of the Charter, our collaboration with other members has allowed us to share and celebrate in the achievements made towards gender equality, broadening our own awareness and promoting healthy discussion about our opportunities to further gender equality. We are proud of our gender pay results, which we proactively analyse and publish an annual basis. If you’d like to read more about our approach to gender pay, you can find our annual reports here.
Women’s Work Lab
In order to support women who have been out of work, we are delighted to be working with Women’s Work Lab to offer work placements designed to build confidence and skills to support women back into employment.
