External Liaison Officer

The role


This is a busy, challenging and very rewarding role. Our External Liaison Team is responsible for face to face customer service and collections, negotiating repayment plans and promoting payment assistance schemes and special tariffs to support customers who are finding it difficult to pay their water and sewerage charges. As an External Liaison Representative, you will use your excellent communication, customer service and decision-making skills, to assess the best way to help.


About you


You have excellent verbal communication skills and an approachable manner with the ability to tailor your communication to your audience. A self-motivated individual, with the ability to make sound decisions using your own initiative and negotiate effectively to ensure the best outcome for the customer and the business.

You must have excellent IT skills and the confidence to use our field-based computer technology whilst building rapport with our customers. Experienced in delivering excellent customer service, you are able to work alone and add value to your field-field based team. A full, clean driving license is required.
